Text Message Terms

What these messages are
River City Reminders, LLC sends invoice and payment reminder texts on behalf of small contractors, such as plumbers, electricians, and HVAC companies. Every text goes out under the contractor's own business name, for example: "Hi Sam, friendly reminder from [Contractor]: invoice #1042 for $350 is due Oct 30. Pay here: [link]. Already paid? Thank you! Reply STOP to opt out."
These are account and billing messages about work you hired the contractor to do. They are not advertising, and they are never collection-agency notices.
How you agree to receive texts
You receive these texts only if you gave your mobile number to the contractor and agreed to get texts from them about your invoices, for example on an estimate, work order, invoice, or service agreement. The contractor hires River City Reminders to send those reminders for them. Giving consent is not a condition of buying any goods or services.
How often
Message frequency varies. When you first agree to texts, you'll get one confirmation text. After that, you may get up to five texts per invoice: a heads-up about 3 days before the due date, follow-ups at about 7, 14, and 30 days past due if the invoice is still open, and one thank-you text when your payment is received. Reminders stop once the invoice is paid. We may also reply to messages you send us. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out and getting help
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You'll get one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and no more texts after that.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (804) 689-3322 or dustin@rivercityreminders.com.
- Opting out of texts doesn't cancel what you owe the contractor. Please contact them directly about your invoice.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for details. River City Reminders does not charge you for these texts.
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers who help us deliver the messages. See our Privacy Policy.
